Whether you have recently found us online, or you have visited us in person, we extend to you a warm welcome. We would love for you to join us on a Sunday at 11:00am or 6pm at Giggs Hill Church, Giggs Hill Road, St Paul's Cray, BR5 2SA.
We enjoy greeting any visitors, whether you are passing through or looking for a church family, or simply interested in faith and have questions. Whatever your reason, you will find a warm reception and refreshments served before and after the meeting, providing a fantastic time for friends and family to catch up.
River Church is a diverse church, gathering people of all ages and phases of life from many backgrounds. We recognise that we are all at different places in our journey and that the next step looks different for everyone. We invite you to continue your journey with us at your own pace and at a level that's comfortable for you. Along the way, feel free to ask any questions - we're here to help. And, if you've yet to visit, we hope to see you on a Sunday!

We want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive
Our morning service starts at 11am and ends around 12.30pm. Our evening service starts at 6pm and is slightly shorter, finishing around 7.15pm. Feel free to come to one or both services if you wish.
We love meeting new people and we definitely don’t care how you’re dressed or what candidate you voted for!
Hot and cold drinks are served before and after the meetings. These are great opportunities for catch up and fellowship.
Our meetings start with worship. We call this 'open worship', which means there is more of a flow of singing, praise and prayers from people in the meeting. We believe in the desire of God to speak to us and also to change our lives, even in these gatherings.
Our core belief is in the relevance and power of the Bible as the Word of God and the authentic moving of the Holy Spirit as we listen to the Bible explained. We are blessed to have some gifted speakers who bring a message each week.
We are passionate about communicating Jesus and helping children on their faith journey. We love to have fun, and we look forward to welcoming you and your children as we share and learn more about God together.
We are a family church so we love the little ones and they are free to be involved in our worship together. At the end of the worship time, they are encouraged to go out to their own groups. We have 4 groups on a Sunday morning serving all children up to 16.
ll our groups have games, dramas, video clips, bible stories, craft activities and time to pray and respond. They are fun groups to be a part of where children are encouraged to know God for themselves and to build friendships with their peers and leaders.
On your first visit to River Church a member of the children's team will introduce themselves to you, and take you to meet the leader of your child's group (based on their age) and show you where the group have their activities. As the children go to their groups, parents are welcome to go with their children to help settle them in their group. Parents can also stay with them if they want, or can return to the main meeting.
We have various home groups, bible studies and prayer groups that happen during the week. We encourage our church family to be more than Sunday attenders where they can really find support, care and encouragement.
See our Home Groups page for details.
We run two sessions a week for our 11-18's: A weeknight group for worship, Bible study and spiritual growth and a Saturday night with different activities, trips and general fun. Our Year 5 and 6 children meet together in an evening for fun and spiritual encouragement each month.
If you or your child have an additional need, we will work with you to find the best way to help with accessing and enjoying the church. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact mark.cross@river-church.co.uk.
River Church regards the protection and safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults as a priority. If you would like to know more right now, please contact safeguarding@river-church.co.uk.
We have an excellent program for children and young people that runs during the morning service. We are a family church and love to welcome people of all ages.
